The report highlighted a 151.9% increase in the number of ransomware attacks during the first half of 2021, compared to the same period of 2020. The report also detailed the industries most heavily targeted by these attacks. Government organizations witnessed an increase of 917%, while healthcare saw a rise of 594%. Geographically, the report showed a notable increase in ransomware attacks in North America, which experienced a whopping 180% rise in such incidents.
